Research

Main quest: welfare under friction.

My work begins from a simple curiosity: when markets do not connect people, goods, and places smoothly, who bears the cost, and how do institutions or climate shocks change that burden?

The current map follows three connected routes: urban retail frictions, agricultural heat exposure, and when Good Agricultural Practice training improves behavior and farm outcomes for independent oil palm smallholders in Malaysia, and when it does not.
